Walking for Jean 💚🐾
Throughout November, Luna and I are taking on Macmillan’s 100km Dog Walking Challenge in loving memory of my wonderful mum, Jean. Mum had so much warmth, so much love for her dogs, and this feels like the most fitting way to remember her while raising funds for a charity that means the world to our family.
We’re sharing daily boots-and-paws updates, tracking every mile along the river as we build up to our final walk at the Butterfly Bridge.
If you’d like to support us, share words of encouragement, or donate a few pennies to Macmillan, you can use the links below. Every single step is for you, Mum. 🤍🕊️

The final five kilometres, together
We’re planning to complete our final 5 km together on Sunday 29 November 2026, meeting at noon at Butterfly Bridge by the river in Bedford.
This meetup is provisional, subject to confirmation of arrangements with the council. We’ll share confirmed details here before the day.
Afterwards, we hope to enjoy cakes, a cuppa and a chance to meet fellow dog lovers. If you would like to help with organising or on the day, please get in touch.
Happy paws come first
This is a walking challenge, not a race. Choose walks that suit your dog’s age, fitness and health, allow time for rest, and never push them to reach a distance target. If you’re unsure what is suitable for your dog, ask your vet.
Bring fresh water and a portable bowl, check paws during and after walks, and choose comfortable, well-fitting walking equipment. For darker outings, consider high-visibility accessories alongside your usual lead.
Buying anything is completely optional: you don’t need to shop to support the fundraiser. Donations are made through JustGiving. Shopping with Luna’s PawPaws is separate from donating.
